Each week we will be highlighting the state’s top performers across all classifications. Many times numbers aren’t posted so feel free to send info on athletes via Twitter/X, email etc.. Have a look at some of Oregon’s best for Week 3.

Kenen Elder Kenen Elder 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Tualatin | 2024 State OR CB 24′ Tualatin / Jayden Fortier Jayden Fortier 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Tualatin | 2024 State OR TE/OLB 24′ Tualatin- Elder, one of the state’s most versatile athletes, had two clutch INTs for Tualatin. Credit to Portland St for getting on him when they did. Thus far, Fortier looks like the overall 6A MVP, rushing for 2 TDs with an INT in the 22-13 win over #1 5A Wilsonville.

Nick Crowley Nick Crowley 5'11" | 185 lbs | ATH Wilsonville | 2025 State OR ATH 25′ Wilsonville/ Mark Wiepert Mark Wiepert 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Wilsonville | 2025 State OR ATH 25′ Wilsonville- Both Junior’s project as 1stteam all-state athletes at the 5A level, with Crowley catching 9 passes for 142 yards and the Oregon St baseball commit Wiepert grabbing4 balls for 86 yards. They have been equally impressive on D.

Max Nowlin Max Nowlin 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB Scappoose | 2025 State OR QB 25′ Scappoose- Definitely one of the most impressive stat lines of the year came via the 6-4 Jr. QB, who was 45/60 for 490 yards and 5 TDs with 0 INTs, in the team’s 41-21 win over Hood River. Nowlin has a stock which continues to rise.

Liam Davis Liam Davis 6'1" | 175 lbs | ATH Lake Oswego | 2025 State OR QB 25′ Lake Oswego- Davis continues to look like one of the top players in Oregon week after week. The Junior QB went 15/24 for 226 Yards and 4 TDs, a week after accounting for 6 TDs (3 rushing, 3 passing). The talented overall athlete has yet to throw an INT this year for a Lakers team that is 3-0 and ranked #3.

Justin Craigwell Justin Craigwell 5'10" | 200 lbs | LB Sunset | 2026 State OR RB 26′ Sunset/ Blake Hurley Blake Hurley 6'2" | 205 lbs | ATH Sunset | 2024 State OR ATH 24′ Sunset- Hurley looks like a Metro League POY favorite through three weeks, returning a punt 54 yards for a TD in the impressive 54-19 win over Liberty. The Sophom*ore Craigwell had a breakout performance rushing for 3 first half TDs and returning a kick 60 yards for a touchdown.

Hunter Haines Hunter Haines 6'1" | 190 lbs | DB West Linn | 2024 State OR S24′ West Linn- Maybe the fastest rising 2024 prospect in the state with his recent sub 4.4 laser time. Haines locked everything down in the secondary and had a nice INT, a week after getting in the mix offensively and catching a touchdown.

Sherwood D– The Bowmen have pitched back-to-back shutouts against decent competition, looking like one of the top defenses in the NW. The victories over reigning 5A state champ Summit and Clackamas have been led by the likes of returning conference POY Keaten Fried Keaten Fried 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Sherwood | 2024 State OR , Jr. LB Treyson Eddleman Treyson Eddleman 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Lakeridge | 2025 State OR , and one of the state’s best safeties in Evan Morris Evan Morris 6'3" | 185 lbs | DB Sherwood | 2024 State OR .

Noah Blair Noah Blair 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Thurston | 2025 State OR QB 25′ Thurston/ Walker Bonar Walker Bonar 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Thurston | 2024 State OR WR 24′ Thurston/ Luke Newell Luke Newell 6'2" | 200 lbs | ATH Thurston | 2024 State OR WR 24′ Thurston- Blair backed up the hype from his sophom*ore season, tossing 6 TD’s, with four of them going to the 1stteam all-league returner Bonar. Newell did his catching 2 TDs with an INT return for a touchdown as well, in the 48-14 win over North Eugene.

Braxton Singleton Braxton Singleton 6'2" | 205 lbs | WR North Salem | 2026 State OR WR 26′ North Salem/ Jamahl Wilson Jamahl Wilson 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB North Salem | 2024 State OR RB 24′ North Salem- Look for Singleton to be ranked one of the top receivers on the west coast and potentially the nation for his class. The Vikings don’t really pass the ball so that’s an issue, but he did have 2 receptions for 92 yards and 2 TDs (64,28) in the 39-13 win over Roseburg. The talented transfer from McKay HS Wilson, rushed 17 times for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Danny Wideman Danny Wideman 5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH West Linn | 2025 State OR ATH 25′ West Linn/ Baird Gilroy Baird Gilroy 6'5" | 215 lbs | QB West Linn | 2025 State OR QB 25′ West Linn- As noted Wideman is playing as well as any underclassmen in Oregon, adding another 151 receiving yards and 2 TDs (74). Him and Gilroy have played together since childhood and have a special connection on the field. Baird has the potential of being the state’s top ranked QB for the class, passing for 216 yards and another 4 touchdowns, in the 43-14 win over Jesuit.

Cameron Nix Cameron Nix 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB North Medford | 2025 State OR WLB 25′ North Medford- Nix was one of Oregon’s breakout sophom*ore’s a year ago, and continues to thrive, coming up clutch with 1 INT, 1 PBU, and 3 tackles, in the teams 33-12 win over a decent West Salem team. Him and Trey Kennedy Coleman Trey Kennedy Coleman 6'2" | 280 lbs | DL North Medford | 2025 State OR give North an elite one-two punch on D, with both athletes returning next year.

Jackson L Babbitt Jackson L Babbitt 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB Springfield | 2024 State OR ATH 24′ Springfield- One of the better overall players and athletes at the 5A level, scored 2 TDs for the Millers (31,18), as they trounced a sub-par Crater team 43-13. Babbitt will project as a 1stteam all-conference guy on both sides of the football.

Logan Whitlock Logan Whitlock 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB Henley | 2024 State OR RB 24′ Henley- Whitlock should be considered a 4A POY favorite, scoring 6 TDs against what many consider a good 4A team in Ashland. Whitlock had 5 short yardage TDs and a kick return in Henley’s 46-15 win.

Ryder Scheid Ryder Scheid 5'10" | 175 lbs | DB South Medford | 2024 State OR RB 24′ South Medford- The Panthers have spread the ball around this season and that stayed true against McNary with Scheid rushing for 4 TDs(29,25,8,3) in the 35-0-win McNary.
