Each week we will be highlighting the state’s top performers across all classifications. Many times numbers aren’t posted so feel free to send info on athletes via Twitter/X, email etc.. Have a look at some of Oregon’s best for Week 2.

Kane Sullivan Kane Sullivan 6'2" | 185 lbs | QB McMinnville | 2025 State OR QB 25′ McMinnville- One of the state’s top dual threat QB’s backed up his status on Friday, accounting for 6 TDs in one half, In the teams 62-7 win over Forest Grove in the Pigeon Bowl. Sullivan was 6/8 passing for 142 yards and 2 scores + 14 rushes for 92 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Sentori Martino Sentori Martino 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Barlow | 2024 State OR WR/ATH 24′ Barlow- Probably the state’s breakout performer over the first two weeks. Martino caught 11 passes for 178 yards and 3 TDs, in the teams 34-27 loss to Mountainside. Over the first two games he has 16 receptions for 309 yards and 5 TDs.

Baird Gilroy Baird Gilroy 6'5" | 215 lbs | QB West Linn | 2025 State OR QB 25′ West Linn/ Danny Wideman Danny Wideman 5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH West Linn | 2025 State OR ATH 25′ West Linn- Gilroy is widely regarded as one of the fastest rising prospects in Oregon and Wideman has been off the charts good over the first two weeks. Baird hit on 18/26 passes for 309 yards and 2 TDs, with Wideman catching 7 balls for 72 yards and a touchdown, in their 41-3 win over Sheldon.

Jayden Fortier Jayden Fortier 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Tualatin | 2024 State OR TE/OLB 24′ Tualatin/ Calvin Evans Calvin Evans 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Tualatin | 2025 State OR ATH 25′ Tualatin- The state’s top recruit continues to impress on both sides of the ball, putting together an unreal defensive performance and causing 4 forced fumbles, while also catching 6 passes for 81 yards. Evans stepped up big, recovering 4 fumbles and making 6 tackles. His 34-yard field goal was also the difference in the game.

Jimmy Hughes QB 24′ Summit- The Cali transfer is one of the better QB’s in Oregon and put that on full display against a decent Thurston team on Friday, in the 46-25 win. The reigning 5A state champs got back on track with Hughes passing for 366 yards and 4 TDs.

Thomas Borden Thomas Borden 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB Oregon City | 2024 State OR DB 24′ Oregon City/ Brayden Welch Brayden Welch 6'5" | 235 lbs | DL Oregon City | 2024 State OR DE 24′ Oregon City- The underrated DB Borden came up with 2 INTs in the teams 20-6 win over Canby, with the 6-5 DE Welch continuing to look the part. He made multiple tackles with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. The Pio’s D had looked good thus far.

Austin Simmons Austin Simmons 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE West Albany | 2025 State OR TE 25′ West Albany- The 6-5 TE/OLB has a stock which is skyrocketing. He had another impressive performance in the teams 58-44 win over Lebanon. On the night he caught 8 passes for 170 yards and 3 TD’s.

Connor Crum Connor Crum 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB Mt View | 2024 State OR QB 24′ Mt View/ Jack Foley Jack Foley 6'4" | 205 lbs | WR Mt View | 2025 State OR WR 25′ Mt View- I’ve always been a big advocate of Coach Brian Crum who returns 4 all state athletes this season. His son Connor is a dual threat kid, throwing 3 TDs to 6-4 Jr. WR Foley has a stock that is rising quickly. Mt View came in ranked #9 to start the year in my 5A poll, with two impressive back-to-back wins thus far.

Oliver Luebkert Oliver Luebkert 6'2" | 170 lbs | WR Beaverton | 2026 State OR WR 26′ Beaverton- The standout sophom*ore continued where he left off after a very successful freshman season, with 4 TD’s scored in his first two games this year. He caught 2 touchdowns from fellow sophom*ore QB Spencer York Spencer York 5'11" | 160 lbs | QB Beaverton | 2026 State OR in the 21-0 win over McNary.

Jordan Hicks Jordan Hicks 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Mountainside | 2026 State OR RB 26′ Mountainside/ Sam Vyhlidal Sam Vyhlidal 6'4" | 205 lbs | ATH Mountainside | 2026 State OR RB/OLB 26′ Mountainside-Hicks had a breakout performance, rushing 21 times for 244 yards and 4 TDs in the big 34-27 win over Barlow. One of the state’s top recruits for 2026, 6-4 200-pound athlete Vyhlidal, rushed 11 times for 90 yards.

Rocco McClave Rocco McClave 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Crescent Valley | 2024 State OR QB 24′ Crescent Valley- One of the craziest stat lines from the week came via one of the lesser known QB’s in McClave. Last year’s 5A stat leader, accounted for 575 total yards (375 passing, 200 rushing) and 8 TDs (4 passing, 4 rushing) in their 63-50 win over South Albany. His ability to run the ball was incredibly impressive.

Connor Dye Connor Dye 5'10" | 170 lbs | RB Springfield | 2024 State OR RB 24′ Springfield- Dye is potentially the state’s top RB for the 2024 class and backed that up on Friday, rushing 22 times for 194 yards and 4 TDs, in the 36-34 win over Marist.

Noah Holub Noah Holub 6'6" | 205 lbs | TE Valley Catholic | 2024 State OR TE 24′ Valley Catholic- The rising TE prospect had 7 receptions for 233 yards and 3 TDs, with three other long touchdowns called back, which would have given him over 400+ yards receiving for the game. VC is now 2-0 with some momentum.

Gavin White Gavin White 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Ashland | 2024 State OR RB 24′ Ashland- The Grizzlies have a talented senior class and should be in the mix at the 4A level. White put up an unreal stat line against a bad North Eugene team in the 49-27 win. On the night he went for close to 400 yards and 3 TDs (11-174 rush yards, 3 receptions 109 receiving + 85-yard kick return for TD.

Avirey Durdahl Avirey Durdahl 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Adrienne Nelson | 2025 State OR QB 25′ Nelson- Durdahl is ranked the state’s top QB prospect for 2025, hitting on 24/37 passes for 270 yards and 4 TDs, in the 42-7 win over a resurgent Roseburg team. Nelson played West Linn tough in week 1 even though the score may not have indicated that. This was a convincing week 2 win.

Athan Palmateer Athan Palmateer 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB South Salem | 2024 State OR QB 24′ South Salem/ Eli Johnson Eli Johnson 6'4" | 200 lbs | WR South Salem | 2024 State OR WR 24′ South Salem/ Esteban Mendez Esteban Mendez 5'5" | 145 lbs | ATH South Salem | 2024 State OR Slot 24′ South Salem- The Saxons are one of the more fun teams in the state to watch, as they consistently put up points. They could be a 9-0 team not ranked in the top 10 to put their strength of schedxule into perspective. Palmateer is a legit conference POY candidate going 29/39 for 503 yards and 6 TDs. Both WR’s Johnson and Mendez had phenomenal evenings, with Eli now projecting as a multi offer D1 kid. He had 8 catches for 158 yards and 2 TDs with Mendez having a career night and grabbing 8 balls for 247 yards and 4 TDs.

Trey Kennedy Coleman Trey Kennedy Coleman 6'2" | 280 lbs | DL North Medford | 2025 State OR DT 25′ North Medford- One of the state’s fastest rising junior D line prospects made 8 tackles, with 6 tackles for loss, after a much needed 41-0 win over Bend.

Tanner Starbuck Tanner Starbuck 5'10" | 170 lbs | DB Stayton | 2025 State OR RB/DB 25′ Stayton- Starbuck showed why he is considered one of the top two-way athletes in Oregon. The talented junior rushed for 165 yards and 2 TDs in the 13-6 win over Gladstone. He projects as an all state kid on both sides of the football.

Enrike Aguilar Enrike Aguilar 6'3" | 240 lbs | DL North Salem | 2025 State OR DE 25′ North Salem- The returning 2nd team all conference DE is one of the best D lineman in the state. In less then 2 quarters Aguilar had 2 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, and 7 QB hurries, in the 55-0 win over a bad David Douglas team.

Kallen Gutridge Kallen Gutridge 6'4" | 195 lbs | QB Wilsonville | 2024 State OR QB 24′ Wilsonville- The talented hooper and big 6-4 QB passed for 229 yards 4 TDs in the 1sthalf, in the 49-14 win over Westview. Gutridge has looked much better this year after hitting on less than 50% of his passes last season. They will have their hands full playing 6A #4 Tualatin this coming week.
