TILLREDA portable induction hob, 1 zone white - IKEA (2024)

Great hobAnonymous reviewerBrilliant, works quickly.Great whilst camping or with a bbq5

Good value Anonymous reviewer👍🏻5

Great, but only for a frying panAnonymous reviewerI love using this as my kitchen isn't big enough to actually have an oven with a hob (I have a worktop oven and this induction hob instead). However, I can only use my frying pan on this as whenever I try to put a saucepan on it (for things like pasta, etc.) I get the error and it won't work. I don't know if this is because the base of the saucepan isn't big enough or because of the material, but it's very annoying.4

Same problem as another reviewAnonymous reviewerAs a small portable induction hob this is great but like another review - I’ve had similar issues. When it’s been off for ages and I’ve turned the power off on the unit (the plug is still switched in) the fan has turned on by itself and runs at full blast until you turn the unit off at the plug. No H indicator or anything previously on the unit and only used it for 5 minutes to boil water in a kettle - it just goes into overdrive on its own for some reason when it’s supposedly off. 1

Excellent posh camping kitAnonymous revieweri bought this to improve upon the various options for camping, at least where there is electric hook-up. This neat compact induction hob cooks clean, safe, and efficiently, much faster than the tiny gas ring in my caravan, and much cheaper than Calor Gas. Most of my cookware is good for induction, only one poor-quality aluminium pot to bin.5

WarningAnonymous reviewerThis hob is really nice looking and fits well everywhere. Easy to keep clean. However, the touching panel skips the numbers of the power used. When I go down to 1 it sometimes skips to 9 and burns what's been cooking. Occasionally the cooling/ventilator mode goes on without a reason. For example at night, when all is off and hob is empty for hours. I've been having this for a very long time. It's a troublemaker. And can be dangerous if you are not around for a minute.1

Very usefulAnonymous reviewerOur hob broke and it was taking a while for our landlord to change so, we bought this single portable hob, overall very useful.5

Powerful, lack low power subtletyAnonymous reviewerCan boil a boil a pan of water in no time. The price is good. But its not perfect. Level one is a one second burst of about 50% power then off for a few seconds then on again. If you don't have a heavy pan it can scorch during the burst of high heat. Also the bleep of removing the pan is annoying. If you shake the contents of the pan it can bleep. Or when the pan goes over the controls it changes the settings or turns it off..so you need to leave the pan still and stir with a spoon.4

Stylish addition to my kitchenAnonymous reviewerStylish addition to my kitchen5

Didnt last longAnonymous reviewerThis worked beautifully when it did...Never seen water boil so quickly after using gas hobs for years but unfortunately it now produces a spark when I turn on and unfortunately there's no Ikea in Nigeria (I bought in UK and shipped to Nigeria).2

Induction hobAnonymous reviewerUnfortunately, this was very disappointing. Although small and elegant looking, its performance is really poor. I am used to induction hobs, and have the appropriate pans. I bought it as back up for my Aga range cooker, which I switch off in summer, but this hob took more than 50 minutes to bring a pan of water to the boil. Needless to say, I had to switch my range back on.1

perfect for one person livingAnonymous reviewerI watched a lot of videos on YouTube and had kind of anxiety whether it’s going to be too loud, and if it’s suited for everyday cooking. I love it, I make pasta and fry noodles and pretty much everything, I cook for myself so it’s economical and much less food odor. I have an old main cooker in my flat but I’m using this one now because the heat is so efficient and cleaning is easy, just overall creates a pleasant cooking experience. It does make a little noise in the beginning and also you’ll notice it’s built-in fan being turned on if you’re frying something at a high heat-level, but I hardly use beyond level 4 (it’s high enough for everyday cooking for one person) and honestly really negligible (compared to other portable cookers). It’s beautiful and I just love having it around every time I cook something, and I’d opt for this over my main cooker anytime if I’m cooking for one person.5

Bed very excellentAnonymous reviewerGood & Very excellent5

good productAnonymous reviewerportable, can take anywhere and easy to use5

Induction hobAnonymous reviewerI purchased two of these single portable induction hob's quite some year's ago.I never looked back. I use them everyday and could not fault them.5

Neat and compact. This isAnonymous reviewerNeat and compact. This is too use as alternative to broken hotplate on main oven4

Easy to use and cleanAnonymous reviewerWe bought the job as a temporary replacement while our kitchen was being replaced. Works really well, just a little noisy due to the fan but easy to keep clean.4

Highly recommendedAnonymous reviewerI really wanted the double base unit but I really like this. It doesn’t seem to use a lot of electricity and right now that very important. It heats up instantly. What would make it even better is if it had more features but that’s pushing it at this place.5

Great HobAnonymous reviewerEasy to use and clean can be stored in a drawer.5

AppallingAnonymous reviewerWe have over the years collected various pans. Three frying pans several are bronze bottom professional standard. This device has a stupid sensor on it that only lets the steel Wok work on it the other twenty three pans it beeps and shuts off temperamentally. We use a ten pound Chinese hot plate can heat any pan this IKEA one is too clever for to cook with. Completely a waste of time. Avoid unless you have the patience to replace all your pans with ikea standard steel bottom pans. Stupid waste of time.1
